Clearances priced before we lift throughout Harpenden
Harpenden
When people need rubbish gone quickly and want to know where it ends up, Apollo is the waste collection Harpenden households and businesses turn to. We collect household clutter, garden waste, furniture, office and shop waste and builders’ waste from any address in Harpenden. Prices are fixed before loading, around 95% of what we collect is recycled or recovered at licensed transfer stations, and your waste transfer note is included as standard. Our Mini Load starts from just £65.
The way we plan a job in Harpenden starts with where the rubbish is and how we get it out. Upstairs flats, shared entrances, tight parking and long garden paths all change how long a job takes, and a skip often needs a permit where a van does not. Send us the details and a photo, and we will give you a fixed price and a slot that our Harpenden crews can actually meet.
What we clear
One fixed price and one visit from a two person crew. Each price includes the lifting, the van and licensed waste disposal Harpenden customers can rely on, with nothing extra on the day. Tell us which job you have and we will confirm the size and price before loading.

Skip versus van for Harpenden flats: the pros and cons
Many Harpenden customers come to us after realising a skip was not what they needed. You get a skip that blocks the drive for days, a council permit if it is on the road, and the job of filling it. A man and van collection means no waiting and no lifting: we arrive as agreed, load, sweep and leave, and you pay for space only.
Most single items, loft clearouts, garden tidies and small rubble piles are quicker by van, and often cheaper once the skip permit is included. For builders, our construction waste disposal Harpenden service collects rubble and offcuts between trades and keeps the site clear. A skip can still be the right choice for a project producing waste over several weeks, and we will tell you if so.

Why Apollo
Anyone can turn up with a van, but that is not a waste service. This is what Apollo brings to every Harpenden collection. We are happy to talk it through for your Harpenden job.
Apollo is on the Environment Agency register as an upper tier waste carrier. Our registration is public, so you can check it before booking. It keeps every Harpenden collection quick and simple.
No surprises, no hourly charges, no weight fees. Your agreed price is the price you pay. It is the same for every job in Harpenden.
We are regulars in the area. Access, parking and timing are sorted in advance. That is what makes a Harpenden collection go to plan.
We take every load to a licensed transfer station. Furniture that can be reused is reused, and materials are separated by type rather than tipped as one pile. That goes for every address in Harpenden.
Point at what needs to go. Our two person teams carry from anywhere on the property, upstairs included, and load the van. No lifting for anyone in Harpenden.
Subject to availability, same day slots run across Harpenden. The fixed price is always agreed first. We collect from Monday to Saturday.
Fly tipped waste is a familiar sight in parts of Hertfordshire, and offenders are prosecuted. What many people miss is that if your waste is found dumped and traced back to you, you can be issued a fixed penalty of up to £600 even though you did not dump it yourself. That is the gap between cheap rubbish removal Harpenden households regret and a low price that is done properly. A waste transfer note comes with every Apollo collection, so your waste disposal Harpenden records prove your duty of care was met.
